Maybe you aren’t drinking enough water – here’s why

Water is a necessity in our lives and an even bigger one in fitness. So addressing your daily water intake really isn’t an option and we get it… there are a gazillion articles and reminders telling us to drink more water.

So here’s another, better, reminder.

The benefits of drinking water include but aren’t limited to assisting in weight loss, detoxing, gives clearer skin complexion, boosting your mood, and even relieving headaches naturally.

So why don’t we drink more water? Are we lazy? Possibly. We think the answer is forgetfulness and lifestyle. A unique point of view to the water drinking topic.

Good Ol’ forgetfulness

When it comes to something like drinking water, forgetfulness probably isn’t your fault. Mainly because for most of our liquid intake only happens during our meals during the day.

And unless you’re someone who carries a water bottle around with you all day. You’re really not drinking a whole lot of water, even then it’s not like the water bottle could remind you to drink water. Or could it.

Yes, yes it can. Here are 10 smart products that can help you drink more water during the day.

Okay back to what we were saying. If you don’t want to buy a water bottle that’s going to manually remind you to drink water throughout the day you can always use your phone to set reminders for yourself.

The results of not drinking enough water can be severe and lead to dehydration. Some of the most common symptoms of not drinking enough water are:

  • Constant headaches
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Stomach Pain
  • Salty food cravings

All of these can add up alongside some that we didn’t mention. Avoiding these symptoms and avoiding becoming dehydrated in general isn’t hard either.

Drink more water. Yes, we get it, but how much water should you drink every day?

For women, a whopping 2.7 Liters of water is recommended per day which also equals 11.5 cups.

For us moms who follow an active lifestyle, the 2.7 Liters or 11.5 cups of water every day can come easily. This is because our lifestyle easily influences the need for water intake.

Other than that things such as hot weather and running around throughout the day can make us want some water. This usually does it for most. Then for us, mothers who are still breastfeeding most doctors recommend around 10 cups of water per day! If you’re curious about fluid intake during pregnancy or while breastfeeding it’s best to consult with your doctor.

A water bottle is your best bet

Carrying a water bottle with you throughout the day makes sense for everyone. You can fill it up at your own convenience and many locations even offer water bottle fill up stations with purified water.

Great. Now that you understand how to drink more water every day lets recap.
